In the EU, women still earn 13% less per hour than men and are more affected by poverty in old age due to care work. That’s why Anaïs & Maya founded the Happy Immo Club to help women build wealth with real estate.
The real estate market is often seen as a playground for the rich. But Anaïs Cosneau, co-founder of the Happy Immo Club, wants to change that. Her aim is for women in Germany to secure a piece of the city – and thus pave their way to financial independence.
Financial independence – a word that sounds like an unattainable dream for many women. Anaïs is convinced that independence is achievable and that real estate is the key. Her goal? Every woman should secure a piece of her city. That’s why she founded the Happy Immo Club in Berlin with Maya Miteva. The method: a clear strategy, a strong network and then just do it. Jump!
Real estate - for every woman?
“Many people think that real estate is something you can only afford if you have millions. That’s wrong”, explains Anaïs in conversation. The qualified architect and experienced real estate project developer explains how just 10 percent equity is enough to get started: “If you want to buy an apartment for 100,000 euros, you often only need 10,000 euros of equity. The rest comes from the bank.”
The idea behind the Happy Immo Club is very simple: to encourage women to invest in real estate in order to build long-term financial security. What makes it special: The Happy Immo Club is an online service in which members are guided through the entire process – from the search to financing to managing the property. There are also boot camps, training videos, WhatsApp groups and an active community.

From baby carriage to capital investment
“Women are often underrepresented in the real estate market – and underestimated”, she says. Anaïs speaks from her own experience. The attitude of many financial advisors is particularly annoying: “When I wanted to find out about financing a property in my twenties, I was told: ‘Come back with your husband’. That made me so angry that I initially put the subject on ice.”
During her parental leave, she began to look into real estate again. Parental leave, for example, is a perfect time for Anaïs to tackle the topic of real estate. “I had to do a lot of walking anyway. Why not schedule viewings?” Her first property was a student apartment in Offenbach. Today, she owns numerous properties and has turned her experience into a successful business model.
The network makes the difference
What sets the Happy Immo Club apart is its community. In online courses and regular meetings, women learn the basics of the real estate market. A WhatsApp group also provides space for quick questions and mutual support. “When a woman buys an apartment, it’s celebrated in the group”, says Anaïs.
But it’s not just about emotions. The club also provides tangible tools, including checklists for viewings, sample calculations and templates for purchase contracts. “Our aim is to empower women to make confident decisions – with knowledge that is otherwise reserved for professionals.”

Together instead of alone
The approach of investing together is particularly exciting. Anaïs reports on projects in which several women buy an apartment building, each taking on their own apartment and enjoying the benefits of the community. “Buy with a friend. That’s ideal for newcomers. You share the worries, but also the success.”
Freedom through ownership
There is a clear mission behind Anaïs’ commitment: women should become financially independent. “It tears my heart apart when I hear that women stay in unhappy relationships or bad jobs because they can’t afford to break out. Real estate can create that security.”
Nevertheless, she does not conceal the risks. “Of course there are setbacks. I have also sold a property at a loss. But that’s part of it.” Her advice: plan well, but don’t lose heart. “You learn with every project.”
A changing market
The real estate market is often perceived as inaccessible and complex – especially for women. Anaïs Cosneau wants to change that. Her Happy Immo Club shows that things can be done differently: lower-threshold, more accessible and, above all, at eye level.
Anaïs appeal: “Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. The first step is always the hardest – but also the most important.”
