Why we should think about health holistically

Body, nutrition, and mental health are still often considered separately. As if they were individual areas that could be “optimized” independently of one another. Research has long shown otherwise.

Studies by the World Health Organization (WHO), Harvard Medical School, and the Global Wellness Institute prove that long-term health is achieved when exercise, nutrition, mental balance, and social connection work together. Not additively, but as a system.

YouDay was founded by Camilla Guimard and Carla Cabalfin-Lengellé. Two women, two backgrounds—one shared attitude. Camilla is a brand strategist with an international background. Exercise has been a part of her life since her youth, including competitive sports. She understood early on how closely the body and mind are connected—and how crucial enjoying exercise is to sticking with it. Not as a duty, but as a source of energy.

Carla comes from the communications and advertising industry. She believes in the impact of sport, good nutrition, and mindfulness on quality of life, health, and leadership. Not as a short-term trend, but as a long-term foundation. Boxing is her sport – and it has taught her how much mental strength lies within the body.

What connects the two of them is the conviction that women achieve a lot – and too often forget themselves in the process.

The mission

YouDay stands for a different approach to health. Away from self-optimization. Away from “higher, faster, better.” Toward awareness, connection, and true strength.

YouDay’s mission is to create spaces for women where they

  • find mental clarity instead of just functioning
  • develop routines that support them—not drive them
  • are allowed to prioritize themselves again

YouDay believes that physical strength, mental health, and self-care are inseparable. And that this is where something emerges that goes far beyond fitness: posture. Presence. Self-confidence.
